LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL
(1998-2001)

Lincoln High School 2002
State & National Champions
Forde played 3 years for Lincoln High School. During his freshman season, Forde had the Honor of playing alongside NBA's Chris Bosh on the Freshman team.  In the begining of the Season, he suffered a critical stress fracture in his left heel that landed him on injured reserve for much of the first half of the season. Once cleared to play again, Forde rertuned to finish the season and helped his team to a 32-0 record and District Championship.
That summer, Forde teamed up with his twin brother Mark to play in a summer league (sponsored by Gaurantee Bankk) at Pleasant Oaks Recreation Center on a team called the "The Players". By mid season, Forde had  a breakout game in which he scored a fast series of points including steals and fastbreaks that resulted in 10 points which boosted his condfidence and playing time for the duration of the season. Forde started, the team went undefeated and made it to the city-wide playoffs. First having to play against the division winners from Larry Johnson Recreation center in south Dallas, Forde had another good showing scoring yet another 10 points. "The Players" went on to the semifinal round, won and then went on to the championship  both held @ Southern Methodist University.  Forde Started and the team went on to win the Guarentee chamionship.
In his sophomore and junior year, Forde played for Lincoln's Junior Varsity team. Throughout his career, Forde played a reserve roll, mainly coming off the bench due to his rocky relationship with football coach turned basketball coach (Coach Hamilton). He would try out for the varsity team both his junior and senior year, but would not make the varsity squad. However, Forde did not quit, He continued to play and work on his skills.  While the varsity team went on to a 40-0 record and a state and national chamionship led by Chris Bosh, Forde honed in on his shooting and jumping ability.
Forde finalized his high school career by entering and winning the school's Slam Dunk and Shootout competitions.  Forde received seven academic scholarships to the University of Texas @ San Antonio and would go on to play college ball in San Antonio, Tx @ Northwest Vista Community College.
